What happened
Week 41 had no winners: two trades, two losses, -112 pips in total, or about -2R.
- EUR/USD SELL: entry 1.12039, stop 1.12282, exit 1.12283, so -24 pips (about -1R). The trade lasted roughly 13 hours. Price went at most 17.6 pips in my favor and 25.1 against me.
- GBP/AUD BUY: entry 1.90234, stop 1.89354, take profit 1.91366. It closed at the stop for -88 pips, exactly -1R. The trade lasted about three days, and price moved at most 8.3 pips in my favor.
What went well
I did not move my stops. Both trades have the same initial and final stop, so each loss stayed at the planned size of about 1R. Neither loss grew beyond the plan.
What I want to improve
On GBP/AUD my note says I entered too early and next time need to wait for a deeper pullback. The data supports that. After entry, price went only 8.3 pips the right way and then all the way to the stop.
For EUR/USD I have no entry reason, no tags, no review and no take profit set. From the data alone I can't say what I was expecting in that trade, and I don't want to make it up afterward. I want to write down a reason for every entry so I have something to compare against next time.
