What happened
I closed three trades this week, all buys, on EUR/AUD, EUR/GBP and GBP/AUD. There was one win and two losses, a 33% win rate. Net result was +26 pips. The two trades with a defined stop add up to about -2.02R, roughly -1.01R on average.
- EUR/AUD: -5 pips, about -1.02R. Stopped out after roughly four hours. Price went 10.2 pips in my favor at best and 9.7 pips against me at worst.
- EUR/GBP: -18 pips, about -1R. I held it for roughly 34 hours before the stop was hit. It was never more than 5.8 pips in profit.
- GBP/AUD: +49 pips. Price first went 28.6 pips against me, then peaked at 54.7 pips in profit. I closed at 49.
What went well
Both losing trades ended at a stop I did not move, so the losses stayed around 1R each. The GBP/AUD buy survived a 28.6-pip drawdown and finished as the best trade of the week.
What I want to improve
The GBP/AUD trade has no stop recorded, so I can't calculate its R. The week looks better in pips than I can measure in terms of risk. None of the three trades has tags, an entry reason or notes, so I can't say afterward why I took them. A GBP/AUD buy opened on Oct 6 is still open and is not part of these stats.
