What happened
I closed three trades: two winners and one loser. The win rate was 67%, with -11 pips net. The best was a EUR/USD buy for +15 pips, the worst a EUR/GBP sell for -33 pips.
I opened the EUR/GBP sell on July 27 at 0.85569 and closed it on September 9 at 0.85902. I held it for about 44 days. At its best it was 28.4 pips in profit, and at its worst 50.7 pips against me.
What went well
Both EUR/USD trades lasted around two hours (149 and 123 minutes). The sell went against me by only 0.9 pips, and I captured 7 of a possible 9.6 pips. The buy finished at +15 pips.
What I want to improve
None of the three trades has a recorded stop, entry reason, tag or post-trade review. That means I can't calculate an R multiple, and I can't honestly say how much risk I took on the long EUR/GBP trade.
- The EUR/USD buy first went 11.6 pips against me, almost as much as I eventually made. Without a stop I don't know whether that was planned or lucky.
- One trade without a clear limit erased the profits of the other two and added a loss on top.
Next time I'll write down a stop and a short reason before entering, so the trade can be judged properly later.
