What happened
I closed three trades this week: two small wins and one breakeven. The net result is +6 pips with a 67% win rate. The best trade was the EUR/JPY buy at +4 pips, held for about 5 minutes. The USD/JPY buy made +2 pips over 213 minutes, and the USD/CAD sell closed at 0 pips after 113 minutes. I have no R multiples, because no initial stop was recorded that would let me calculate them.
What the numbers show
- USD/JPY: price moved up to 13.5 pips in my favor and 7.8 pips against me, and I closed at +2.
- EUR/JPY: at best +8.2 pips, only 1.6 pips against me, closed at +4.
- USD/CAD: at best +4.7 pips, 0.2 pips against me, closed at 0.
No trade ended in a loss, but I closed each one below its best point. Without notes I can't tell whether those were planned exits or reactions to price, and I don't want to guess.
What I want to improve
USD/JPY and EUR/JPY have no recorded stop, none of the trades has a take profit, and none has an entry reason, tags or a post-trade review. The list also shows a GBP/AUD buy as still open. Next week I want to write down the reason, the stop and the target before every entry, so the next review can rest on more than the numbers.
